Each year, the Society for Green Environment (SGE) is presenting its prestigious awards to encourage Environmental Microbiology/Biotechnology/Environmental Sciences/Food Microbiology and Toxicology/and Plant Biotechnology Scientists including teachers, professionals, trainers, practitioners, and scholars. Applicants who are eligible to win represent a national or major achievement involving national organizations, Federal, State, tribal or local agencies or companies; achieve a national or international contribution to the environment with verifiable results and evidence, and achieve innovation in compliance methodology and/or integration of decision-making with environmental regulatory processes. Selected Award Winners receive a beautiful award plaque; an invitation to briefly address participants at the Annual SGE Conference; complimentary article space in the summer SGE newsletter; and recognition on the SGE website (http://wwwsgeindia.org).

SGE Fellows
Each year, the Society for Green Environment (SGE) seeks nominations for our annual National Environmental Excellence Awards. This award is for scientists for their outstanding contribution in the field of Environmental Microbiology/Biotechnology/Environmental Sciences/Food Microbiology and Toxicology/and Plant Biotechnology. The award carries a certificate, emblem, etc. SGE Fellow Members are awarded by the Members of Governing Body who have made significant and substantial contributions to the growth and development of the SGE.
SGE Lifetime Achievement Award
The SGE Lifetime Achievement Award is given for exceptional career contributions to the fields of Environmental Science, Environmental Microbiology, Biotechnology and related areas including Social activists. One award is presented every year at the SGE Annual Meeting. The recipient of the award will receive a plaque, a certificate of lifetime membership in the Society, and one complimentary registration to the annual meeting where the award will be presented.
SGE Young Scientist Award
This is for three young scientist/professors/professionals/scholars below the age of 40 years for their outstanding contributions/achievements in the field of Environmental Science, Environmental Microbiology, Biotechnology, and related areas
Best Paper Presentation Award
This award is for three delegates for their best paper presentation under various sub-themes. The award carries a certificate, emblem, etc.
Best Poster Presentation Award
This award is for three delegates for their best poster presentation under various sub-themes of SGE.
Best Thesis Award
This award is for one delegate for their best contribution during doctoral work under various sub-themes of SGE.
Best Science & Technology award
To recognize outstanding achievements /contributions made by Young Engineers in the fields of Energy, Environment, Sustainability, and Combustion. Provides evidence that environmental issues/challenges are addressed by individuals, groups, commercial entities, non-profit organizations and/or governmental entities using creative and effective adaptations of existing, new, or emerging technologies or approaches
Eminent Scientist Award
This is a prestigious award for significant/outstanding contribution to Environmental Microbiology/Biotechnology/Environmental Sciences/Food Microbiology and Toxicology/and Plant Biotechnology researcher by the SGE award committee.
Green Entrepreneur Award
This award will be provided to an entrepreneur who gives a significant contribution to improve the environment and livelihood.
Environmental Management, Stewardship, Conservation, and/or Protection
Provides evidence of systematic reviews of processes and systems that identify opportunities for innovations, interventions, and/or modifications that are then shown to effectively decrease outputs of pollution or emissions, reduce the use of toxic chemicals, recycle wastes or outputs, use recycled materials, and/or improve efficiencies that enhance the environment quality. And/or provides evidence of proactive accomplishment of responsible and sustainable systems or actions to preserve, conserve, or manage the natural environment, ecology, or resources to ensure the long-term integration and application of environmental values. And/ or provides evidence of an action or program that conserves, preserves, repairs, or prevents deterioration of natural resources or ecosystems in a long-term sustainable manner, improving quality of life and the environment.
The Award
The decision of the SGE Council shall be final.
The eligibility criteria of the SGE Award will be sent by e-mail to interested candidates. The applicant should submit his/her brief autobiography not exceeding 300 hundred words relating to his/her contribution. The supporting documents must also be enclosed.
