The Society for Green Environment (SGE) is a non-profit, non-government, multi-disciplinary membership-based national organization of individuals, institutions, and corporation, run by an elected Executive Committee, and principally dedicated to the enhancement of public awareness on conservation and up-gradation of environment and management of all form of air, water, and soil for development of the happy and healthy society. It is not an organization of few individual, but a voice against deterioration of environment and endeavor for the betterment of the society. SGE was founded at a public meeting held at the Lucknow on 11 January 2019 by a group of Indians concerned about the environment. The SGE provides forum to address environmental issues and exchange of knowledge among colleagues in industry, government, academic, and there is so much more to learn about this organization. The forum brings together scientist, engineer, researchers, professors and manager from a broad range of discipline with common interest.
The primary aim of society is to spread environmental issues among people and promote and advocate sustainable technologies for a green and clean world. Promote the wise use of environmental management practices that well improve the safeguard the quality of air, land and water to the needs of society, agriculture, and nature. The society is involved in various activities conducting organizing national/ international conferences, symposia, conference, workshops, seminars, training, meeting as well as distributing publications on the theme of environmental concern. The society also recognizes young scientist and environmentalist for their contribution in environmental protection and safety. It comprises of experts from leading research institutions working in various domain related to the environment
